Secta 24 2026 Kids' Mountain Bike - Green
Looking for a lightweight, capable and ultimately fun bike for your child's first dip into the MTB world? Look no further than Whyte's Secta 24. Engineered to be stable in its geometry with size-specific components right from the saddle and grips down to the brake levers and cranks for confident handling even under little hands, the Secta 24 is geared up to suit riders aged between 7 and 9 years (or 120-140cm tall).
The lightweight aluminium frame and rigid fork help keep the overall weight lower for easier handling, accelerating and climbing, and the bike is kitted out with a Shimano Essa 8-speed drivetrain for smooth, reliable shifting. Fast-rolling yet grippy Kenda tyres have been mounted on 24-inch wheels both front and back, and can be run at lower pressures for a more cushioned ride when facing the trails for the first time.
Features:
- Ideal for riders aged between 7-9 years (120-140cm tall)
- Confidence-inspiring, genuine mountain bike geometry and handling
- Lightweight 6061-T6 precision-formed aluminium frame + Whyte custom rigid fork
- Size-specific parts for a perfect fit and comfort (grips, saddle, brake levers and cranks)
- Shimano Essa 1x8 (8-speed) drivetrain (32T chainring x 11-45T cassette)
- Tektro Junior hydraulic disc brakes with junior levers (160mm rotors front + rear)
- Rigid fork is significantly lighter than a suspension fork and the lower overall weight makes the bike much easier to handle, accelerate and climb with for smaller riders
- Fast-rolling but grippy Kenda tyres: wide and high-volume 2.3" tyres - can also run at lower pressures for an even more cushioned ride
- 24 inch wheels front and rear for a proportionate bike fit and a balanced, trail-smoothing experience for smaller riders
