Fuel EXe 9.5 Mountain E-Bike - Blue

Fuel EXe 9.5 Mountain E-Bike - Blue

The Fuel EXe heralds Trek's first trail bike entry into the category of lightweight e-bikes. Ideally suited for anyone who wants the benefits of pedal assistance but prefers the looks and ride feel of an analogue bike. At only 19.93kg for the size medium, it's only 4kg heavier than its conventional counterpart. This tiny weight penalty is made possible with the use of a lightweight and low bulk drive system from TQ, housed in a carbon fibre frame. The TQ drive system is so quiet that the motor noise is hardly perceptible, especially when compared to high-powered e-bikes. Despite its small size, the motor still kicks out 250W and 50Nm of torque, for getting you to the top the quickly, so you can enjoy the descent with fresh legs.

The suspension platform is similar to the standard Fuel EX with 150mm of travel up front and 140mm in the rear. This is delivered by the RockShox 35 Gold RL fork and RockShox Deluxe Select+ RT shock respectively. The drivetrain is Shimano's superb value Deore 1x12 groupset. There's a monstrous 11-51 cassette so you'll have access to more gear range than you're ever likely to need.

The frame geometry is bang up-to-date for snappy handling and stability at speed so you can deathgrip through rock gardens with confidence. Trek's active braking pivot suspension design ensures that you get the full benefit of your rear suspension's shock absorption, even under heavy braking load.

If you want an electric mountain bike that balances uphill power with trail bike handling, then look no further than the Fuel EXe 9.5 (2023).

Features:

  • TQ-HPR50 motor: super efficient with an amazing power-to-weight ratio, utilising a pin-ring drive transmission that is small, quiety and natural-feeling
  • Removable battery: 360Wh battery gives you power for 2-5 hours and is concealed in the downtube but is still easy to remove for convenient charging
  • Active Braking Pivot: allows engineers to turn how the suspension reacts to acceleration and braking forces independently for more confident control when it's needed most
  • Shimano Deore: smooth riding, improved chain stability and sharp shifting for confidence and control
  • The smart charge port, sleek integrated display and discreet controls keep the bike looking and feeling like a traditional mountain bike
  • 150 mm RockShox 35 Gold RL fork with DebonAir spring and Motion Control damper, and 140 mm RockShox Deluxe Select+ rear suspension
  • Tubeless-ready wheels and tyres
