Akto 1-Person Tent - Red

Akto 1-Person Tent - Red

“Akto” means “alone,” in Sami, the language of the indigenous people of northern Scandinavia.

Among the best tentmakers worldwide, Hilleberg has over 50 years of experience in manufacturing the highest-quality, lightweight, all-season tents. The Akto was first introduced by Hilleberg over 20 years ago, since then this design has become award-winning and increasingly popular.

This tent is only slightly heavier than a bivy bag, however, that extra weight packs in a whole lot of comfort and protection. Roomy when pitched, this tent is ideal for long solo expeditions, when packed this tent can fit in the side pocket of most backpacks!

A member of Hillberg's Red Label collection, this exceptional tent is a true all-season tent, whilst still weighing little enough to suit backcountry backpacking. This tent is versatile, adventurous, and well-suited for anything from summer paddling to winter ski mountaineering, from year-round backpacking to all-season peak bagging.

Features:

  • Kerlon 1200 outer tent fabric and 9mm poles make for a very lightweight yet supremely stable tent.
  • All-season construction: outer tent walls extend to the ground and mesh areas are backed with adjustable fabric panels.
  • Tunnel construction offers a maximum space-to-weight ratio and is the ideal choice for mobile journeys.
  • Plenty of room for one occupant and their gear.
  • Linked but separable inner and outer tent for simultaneous pitching.
  • Basic pitching requires only four pegs in the head and foot end guy lines, and the simple, single-opening, continuous pole sleeve and tensioner system is quick to pitch and remarkably stable. (note: pegging out the four corners provides optimal floor space, venting and overall tent function and is highly recommended.)
  • The single entrance/single vestibule configuration affords easy access as well as storage space.
  • An optional footprint covers the entire area of the outer tent, including the vestibules. It connects directly to the tent, and can be left attached during pitching. (Akto Footprint sold separately).
